Sponsorship Opportunity – EU Film Festival Toronto 2025

The EU Film Festival in Toronto (https://euffto.com/) is celebrating its 21st anniversary in 2025.

On July 1st, 2025, Denmark assumed the Presidency of the European Council for the latter half of the year. To mark this occasion, Denmark in Canada will be hosting various events in Toronto and Ottawa. One of the highlights will be the EU Film Festival in Toronto, which takes place in person from November 13–16 and online from December 1–15.

This year, Denmark is proud to contribute the film “The Land of Short Sentences”, which will open the festival on November 13, 2025.

As Denmark holds the EU chairmanship during the latter half of 2025, the Danish Canadian Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping identify potential sponsors for the festival.

The EU Film Festival is dedicated to making European cinema accessible to as many Torontonians as possible, offering screenings free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. To sustain this accessibility, the festival relies on financial sponsorships.

Sponsorships begin at $2,500, though smaller, customized contributions are also welcome. More details can be found in the attached package.

For your reference, here are some impact figures from the 2024 festival:

  • 3,800 in-person attendees

  • 10,000 online viewers

  • 40,000 newsletter deliveries

  • 100,000 social media reach

  • 5,000 postcards distributed

  • 500 posters displayed across Toronto

Should you wish to support the EU Film Festival or have any questions, please reach out to Vanessa Barr,  EUFF Director of Development, vbarry@eutorontofilmfest.ca; we can always assist with anything: info@dccc.ca

We hope to see strong engagement and representation from the Danish business community during this year’s festival—and we warmly encourage you to attend and enjoy the films as well.
