2026 Danish Heritage Seminar
Hello fellow members and supporters of the Danish Federation,
We are delighted to invite you to the 2026 Danish Heritage Seminar, and to share with you a program that promises both thoughtful reflection and joyful community. The attached brochure offers full details, and we hope it will spark your curiosity and enthusiasm.
This year’s seminar will take place June 8–12, 2026, at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre in downtown Cambridge, immediately following the Annual Federation Conference at Sunset Villa.
The theme, “Making Denmark Great Again,” is both playful and profound. It invites us to explore what has shaped Denmark—its people, values, culture, and mindset—and how Danish contributions have mattered historically and continue to matter today. Through engaging lectures and conversations, our presenters will reflect on Danish heritage with both pride and perspective, encouraging us to reconnect with what it means to be Danish in a global world.
Join us for days filled with culture, history, music, and meaningful fellowship. The seminar will be led by headmaster Kirstine Rasmussen, pastor of the Danish Church in Toronto, and will include singing, lively discussions, time to relax, and rich opportunities to reconnect with old friends and make new ones from across Canada and beyond. Sessions will be held primarily in English, with Danish naturally woven into the experience along the way.
We have also made it possible for participants with alternative accommodation arrangements to join selected parts of the program, and we have worked deliberately to keep costs lower than in previous years while increasing what is included, making this seminar more accessible than ever.
We warmly encourage you to share this invitation and the brochure with individuals, clubs, and groups who may be interested. The registration deadline is April 12, 2026, giving ample time to spread the word and gather a wonderful group for this special event.
We truly look forward to welcoming you to an interesting, inspiring, and intriguing Danish Heritage Seminar this coming June. We hope to see you there!
